Green Business Events

Green Business Events creates events that inform businesses how to respond to climate change and related environmental crises.

The founder, Ben Patten, has a history of running conferences that explore profound change in business. This has included e-business, multi-disciplinary practices, the quality food industry and now climate change.

This business has been set up with the conviction that all organisations face a period of unprecedented change. All events run by Green Business Events will help companies formulate and execute their response to climate change and related environmental crises. It will also help companies discern the opportunities for their business and the ways in which these commercial gains may be realised.

We hope that for anyone operating in this space or moving into it they will be able to find the events and networking opportunities that will help them move forward.

Our events

The main event, Green Strategy, will be an annual gathering. This will be supported by a number of other events:

  1. 1. General events in this space (e.g. Climate Change Opportunites)
  2. 2. Issue specific smaller events (e.g. the two hour business briefings on the "Post-Bali Briefing" "China" and "Green and the Global Slow Down" or
  3. 3. Industry specific events (e.g. "The Greening Events Summit" for the events industry
  4. 4. Networking events (e.g. Green Monday) - chances to connect with other people in the industry and share best practice etc.

Our other aims - making our events sustainable

It is also our aim to promote, produce and host all events on a sustainable basis. These are our four initial pledges:

  • 1. Only use electronic direct marketing (we will have some print adverts)
  • 2. Off-set all the CO2 impact of the conferences
  • 3. Promote online viewing and knowledge transfer via the web
  • 4. Pursue sustainable event standards - initially BS8901.
  • We will work towards more environmentally sustainable goals to lower the impact of our events and help us better understand the challenges of our clients.

Turn off 'compatibility view' (actually this is 'incompatibility' view - every other browser uses standards).
Or if you update or change your browser to something modern then everything will work properly.
