Trained as an architect and arbitrator, I have 20 years experience as a professional within the construction and property industries.
My current role as Director of Design of Taylor Wimpey is based within the head office management team. The role includes strategic work on the direction of design for the whole company, direct support to our 38 regional businesses on architecture and urban design as well as managing a central team that supports a standard housing product in terms of design procurement and production.
A key task at present is leading the company’s response to the climate change agenda, developing a strategy to try and meet the government’s target of all new homes to be carbon neutral by 2016, whilst meeting customer expectations and keeping our product cost efficient and competitive.
