Santiago is currently Vice President Sustainable Development and responsible for the Unilever Brand development globally. He has lead the Corporate Responsibility strategy integrating social, economic and environmental impacts into brand innovation. His Brand Imprint process was ran on more than fifteen £1bn brands at Unilever shaping brand development and marketing plans through deepening citizen insights.

His career began as a lawyer in Argentina and, after undertaking an MBA in the USA at Thunderbird, worked in investment banking for Bankers Trust in New York. Seeking a change in career, he started two NGOs in Argentina, before joining Unilever Argentina's Corporate Relations team in 1999. He quickly became Head of Corporate Relations for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, and then led the function in South America. In 2004 Unilever seconded him to the Corporate Centre in London to lead the Corporate Responsibility global strategy and by the end of 2007 he added to his role the development of Unilever's corporate brand.
