Edward Hanrahan joined ClimateCare as COO two years ago to restructure the organisation to take advantage of the rapid growth of the voluntary offset market, and to develop and bring in second stage investment to allow ClimateCare to achieve its goal of ‘having the greatest impact in tackling climate change, globally.’ Edward led the organisation through a ten fold increase in its origination and sales areas through 2007, and managed it’s investment strategy culminating in acquisition by J.P.Morgan in April 2008. He now sits as an Executive Director of J.P.Morgan’s Environmental Markets group and has oversight of ClimateCare globally.

One of the founders of ICROA – the carbon offset providers trade alliance, Edward is committed to helping to develop the voluntary market reach its full potential, both in terms of absolute scale of Emissions Reductions and in the sustainable benefits, both adaptation and mitigation that it can bring to those most affected by climate change. Edward passionately believes that offsetting is a critical part of any environmental management strategy, if we are to successfully tackle climate change and mitigate its effects on those most affected.

Edward is married with two young children and lives near the ClimateCare office in Oxfordshire, England.
