
David Lawrence is responsible for the Procurement Governance activities at Diageo, which covers Sarbanes Oxley compliance, contract management, Procurement policies, Risk Management processes with suppliers for business continuity assurance, as well as 'Responsible' and 'Sustainable' Procurement work.
After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, David held several Project Engineering roles with Eden Vale and Guinness (now Diageo). Then moved through a number of positions in Engineering and Operations management, including several overseas roles in Africa, becoming a qualified brewer and gaining a Diploma in Management Studies along the way.
Having 8 years Procurement experience in a variety of categories, David looks to bring a practical approach to balancing the ever-increasing compliance pressures, with the commercial realities of a customer/supplier relationship in the Supply Chain.
