
Peter Martin is a director and head of research for CarbonSense and is based in London. CarbonSense works in a strategic advisory role with companies in the UK and Europe, and provides associated specialist consultancy and technical services.
CarbonSense is also involved in developing innovative carbon visualisation and communication tools. Recent clients include Honda, Telenor, Mars, TNT, Thames Water and BT as well as government departments, cultural institutions and a wide range of smaller businesses.
Peter has worked in the field of corporate sustainability and climate change for fifteen years - with BP, the Office for Public Management and various consultancies - before joining CarbonSense in 2003.
Peter has an MSc in Environmental Change, has been a visiting lecturer at several universities and is widely published on business and sustainability. His recent paper Beyond carbon neutral concludes that leading companies are looking beyond offsetting and actively engaging their supply chain, investors and other stakeholders as they adjust business models for a carbon-constrained future.
