Sam Mountford heads GlobeScan's London office, directing and interpreting international opinion research studies on global issues and reputation for corporate, NGO and media clients. GlobeScan are the leading opinion research specialists on environmental and sustainability issues, and have been polling opinion formers and the general public around the world on the issues for over 20 years. But Sam and his colleagues also cover themes as diverse as global poverty, the rise of al Qaeda, CSR, the reputation of the alcohol industry, trust in institutions and attitudes towards globalisation. Sam directs the regular global polling that GlobeScan conduct on behalf of the BBC World Service.

Before joining GlobeScan in 2006, Sam worked as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office's in-house pollster for three years, monitoring perceptions of the UK around the world, and before that was a researcher at MORI's Social Research Institute from 1997 onwards. He has also researched and written a number of travel guides to Italy, notably for Rough Guides.
