Environmental Counsel
GE Real Estate Europe

David is Environmental Counsel for GE Real Estate Europe, the property investment arm of General Electric.  His team manages environmental due diligence on acquisitions, health and safety matters in relation to development projects and sustainability and climate change strategy and programs for one of Europe’s largest real estate businesses.  David also works with GE’s wider businesses on monitoring and preparing for environmental laws that will affect GE in the UK, such as Carbon Reduction Commitment.  GE has a wide range of technology, infrastructure, financial and media businesses in the UK spanning healthcare, sensing, transport, energy, water, financial services and NBC Universal.

Prior to joining GE three years ago David worked for eight years in private practice both in the Environment Law Group and Commercial Technology Law Group at City law firm CMS Cameron McKenna.    David holds a B.A. in law from the University of Oxford and an LL.M. from McGill University, Canada.
