Marie-Louise leads the environment department at McDonalds to minimise the impact of waste, energy, water and packaging by its 71,000 staff and 1200 restaurants in the UK. Marie-Louise previously worked for London Remade, an organisation working in the area of recycling and creating environmental solutions.  Her role as project manager was in green procurement specialising in sustainable construction, and waste minimisation advising on projects such as Barts and the London hospital.  Prior to that Marie-Louise worked as a environmental consultant in Australia on biodiversity research, land degradation and regeneration. Originally graduating with a Environmental Horticulture degree, she grew up working in her family hydroponic lettuce business, which gave her a firm grounding of private sector business for her role in the food industry at McDonalds.
